Gunmen abduct 38-year-old man in Jigawa

Unknown Gunmen have abducted a 38-year-old man in Kiyawa local Government area of Jigawa State.

A resident, who is also the victim’s relative, Aliyu Zakar told DAILY POST that a gang of five criminals jumped into the house of the victim on Monday and took him away.

He explained that the hoodlums had followed the victim and demanded the sum of sixty million Naira which they suspected was brought to him in the fateful night.

Zakar said the kidnappers carrying arms, later took him away.

He said the whole house was ransacked and the victim’s phone and that of his wives were all collected by the criminals, adding that they were yet to contact the family.

Police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident.

He said the incident happened at Dankoli Quarters in Kiyawa local Government at about 3:00 a.m. on Monday.

Adam, however, said the command was making efforts to arrest the suspects and rescue the victim.
